The CASW (2005) Code of Ethics sets forth the values and principles that guide professional social work practice. The NLASW has adopted this Code of Ethics to guide the ethical practice of registered social workers.
Ethical Consultation
The Professional Issues Committee of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Social Workers (NLASW) provides consultation and feedback to members on ethical issues. Find out more about the process or fill out the request form for an ethical consultation.
Practice Standard
The NLASW develops resources to support best practices in social work. These documents are complementary to the CASW Code of Ethics (2005) and Guidelines for Ethical Practice (2005) and are intended to provide social workers with additional clarification and guidance on professional standards.

Connecting Voices
Connecting Voices is a publication of the NLASW facilitating information sharing among the membership.
Published twice a year, January (winter edition) and July (summer edition), the printed newsletter is distributed to more than 1,500 NLASW members, Canadian social work bodies, as well as other provincial regulatory bodies.
The electronic version of the newsletter is accessible through the links below.
NLASW members are able to claim Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits for articles published in Connecting Voices as per the NLASW CPE policy.
