Connecting Voices

Connecting Voices is an online NLCSW publication released twice per year, in January and July. The publication also has direct electronic distribution to all social workers in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canadian social work bodies, as well as provincial regulatory bodies.

The first edition of Connecting Voices officially rolled off the press in 1996. Since that time, the publication has continued to evolve. A redesign in 2008 saw the publication transition to full color, with a visually appealing layout and design. In 2020, the publication moved to a solely online publication, with the aim of reducing its environmental footprint. In 2021, the organization’s transition from association to college was reflected in the pages of the publication. At its core however, the purpose of Connecting Voices, has remained unchanged – to showcase the scope of the social work profession and the essential services provided by social workers throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
